Alia M. Caravelli, Esq.

Alia M. Caravelli is a founding member at Caravelli | Blair Law, LLC, and devotes her legal practice to family law. Her broad practice experience includes: divorce, annulments, spousal support, maintenance, allocation of parental responsibilities (formerly 'custody'), legal separation, pre and postnuptial agreements, name changes, adoptions, restraining orders, visitation (parenting time), domestic partnership agreements, grandparent visitation, paternity, guardianship and post-decree modification of divorce decrees. 

Ms. Caravelli is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Ms. Caravelli is a member of multiple bar associations, where she has served on several committees. She works as a volunteer attorney for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services where she represents low-income clients. Ms. Caravelli's dedication to public service and her clients has been recognized by her colleagues, as she is regularly invited to be a guest speaker at local bar association programs and Chicago law schools. Ms. Caravelli has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer for 2018, and 2017, and was named an Illinois Rising Star from 2010 - 2013. She was listed in the 2009 and 2010 Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. 

Ms. Caravelli is married to Maj. Tracey Holtshirley, who is also an attorney in the United States Marine Corps. They live in downtown Chicago and Washington, D.C.
